Ski Resort in Los Angeles County For Sale $550,000

February 16, 2004--Owners of the Ski Sunrise resort located 90 miles from downtown Los Angeles have announced that the ski resort is for sale. Ski Sunrise is located in the San Gabriel Mountains four miles west of the Village of Wrightwood California. The asking price is $550,000.

For 67 years Ski Sunrise has been one of the best kept secret winter ski resorts in Southern California. In 1944 Howard More of Pasadena took over the Table Mountain Ski Area and began construction on the current facilities. In 1953 More completed the existing 6500 square foot Chalet Lodge, constructed with native lumber harvested from the site. After 60 years of ownership, the More family is now offering the ski resort for sale.

The resort consists of 24 runs over a 97-acre facility, operated under permit from the U.S. Forest Service. The term of the lease is 20 years. A Riblet Quad Lift, two Poma Lifts and a Rope Tow service a vertical drop of 864 feet. The Chalet Lodge includes a restaurant, bar, ski shop and ski/snowboard rental facility with equipment. The top third level of the lodge contains a 2 bedroom, 1 bath managers apartment.

Ski Sunrise is located one mile from Mountain High Resort and services a market of 16 million people within two hours drive. Interested parties are encouraged to visit: http://skisunrise.com/sale for detailed information or contact Jim Gucwa at 760-249-8816
